Everything you need to know about adopting a puppy from us.
To adopt from us, you must be at least 21 years old, have valid ID, and provide proof of residence. If you rent, we may require landlord approval for pets. We also conduct a brief home check to ensure the environment is safe for a puppy. Most importantly, you need to have the time, resources, and commitment to care for a pet for their entire life.
The typical adoption process takes 3-5 days. This includes application review (24-48 hours), a meet-and-greet session, a home check (can be virtual), and final paperwork. For families who are ready, some adoptions can be completed faster. We want to be thorough but never want to keep a puppy waiting longer than necessary!
Absolutely! Many of our adopters work full-time. We'll discuss your schedule during the application process and help match you with a puppy whose needs align with your lifestyle. We may recommend doggy daycare, a dog walker, or an older puppy that can be left alone for longer periods.
Our adoption fee ranges from $150-$350 depending on the puppy's age and breed. This fee includes spay/neuter surgery, all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, deworming treatment, a veterinary health exam, and a starter kit with food, a leash, and toys. This is a fraction of what these services would cost separately!
In some cases, yes. We understand that adoption fees can be a barrier, and we never want finances to prevent a good match. Please speak with our adoption coordinator about your situation, and we'll do our best to work something out.
Yes! Many puppies do great in apartments. We'll help you find a puppy whose size and energy level are a good fit for apartment living. We'll also need confirmation that your landlord allows pets and any size/breed restrictions.
Absolutely! Many of our puppies do great with other animals. We recommend bringing your current pet for a meet-and-greet to ensure compatibility. Our staff can help facilitate proper introductions and advise on which puppies would be the best match for your existing furry family members.
Yes! We carefully assess each puppy's temperament and can recommend great matches for families with children. Some puppies are naturally more patient and gentle, making them ideal for homes with little ones. We'll help you find the perfect family-friendly companion and provide guidance on teaching children to interact safely with their new pet.
We have a 2-week trial period and a lifetime return policy. If for any reason the adoption doesn't work out, we will always take the puppy back – no questions asked. We'd rather have a puppy returned to us than end up in another shelter. We also offer post-adoption support and training resources to help make the transition easier.
Yes! We're here for you throughout your puppy's life. We offer training resources, behavior consultations, and general advice. Our team is always just a phone call or email away. We also host adopter meetups and events where you can connect with other puppy parents!
